Established in 1970, the Roxbury Land Trust is a private, non-profit organization dedicated to preserving the community's rural character for generations to come. Today, over 3,000 acres or about 17 percent of Roxbury is conserved as open space under the Trust's stewardship.

The Roxbury Land Trust is supported through membership dues, employee matching gifts, state and federal grants, foundation grants and charitable contributions.

It is staffed by Julie Steers, executive director and Susan Payne, development director; served by a volunteer board of directors and aided by volunteer effort.
